Mark Farner and NRG - Texas show, Nov. 3, 2006.

As many of you know, Mark and the band played down in Galveston, Tx on Friday, 11/3/06 as part of the Lone Star (motorcycle) Rally where it's estimated that over 300,000 people showed up.  The weather was chilly on Friday night and one of the ferry boats was out of commission which led to a two-hour-plus wait to get to the Fort Davis Park where Mark and the band were scheduled to play.

But, for the "Farner faithful", it was worth every minute as Mark and the Band "rocked the house" after taking the stage aroung 9:00pm.  (The last time I saw Mark play was in '95 when he toured with Ringo Starr and the Allstars.)  Needless to say, it was an incredible performance with Mark all over the stage, his voice as clear as ever! 

And,  N r'G was just that, pure ENERGY with Lawrence Buckner: (bass,vocals),  Paul Ojibway: (keyboards, sax and vocals) and Hubert "the H Bomb" Crawford (drums and vocals).  Hubert did an incredible drum solo that brought down the house.  (Did I say that these guys ROCK?)

In any case, for those of you who missed the show, put Mark and the band on your next "must-do-list".

"They're comin' to your town, they'll help you party down," they're an incredible band!
