Toledo, Ohio - July 14, 2006
Bud and I arrived at the Toledo, Ohio show around 7:30PM and were so glad to see that the rain had stopped. We hadn't seen Mark and the guys since last September in Indiana so we were in need of a N'rG FIX big time. As soon as we got there we went up to the merchandise table and lo and behold, there was Ricky Farner who we had'nt seen in about 4 years. We spent some time talking with him and what a great guy he is. Glad to see you back Ricky.
Then we said hello to Paul and Lesia was running around like crazy before the show so we didn't want to bother her. Bud and I decided that Lesia is the hardest working woman we've EVER seen! About 9:30 the guys hit the stage and we were surprised not to see Marks keyboard on the stage.
They opened the show with "Rock N Roll Soul" and the crowd went nuts. Mark played "For the People" and it is even better live than the cd if that is possible. If anyone hasn't purchased the new cd yet, you are really missing something. This cd is a must for Mark Farner fans. Marks voice is great and he keeps getting better and better. At one point Mark said that no matter how we feel about the war, we have to love and support these kids. AMEN!
I hope it isn't another year before we get to catch this show. After the show Bud and I spent some time with Hubert who in our opinion is one of the nicest people we've ever met. Mark met with the fans and as usual his wit and charm won everyone over. We love ya Mark. I hope if anyone gets the chance to catch a show don't miss it. They are GREAT!

TOLEDO GLASS CITY...still CHIMES from Mark's N'rG!
Toledo has always loved Mark Farner's Funk tunes and very likely always will. Especially after the steamin' show this July Summer night at the private Toledo Club in downtown Toledo, Ohio!
There were "All walks of life" present, standing together, really enjoying the music and the voice that previously ROCKED the Sports Arena (so hard) right down the street.
I had my good ol' concert going buddy with me from High School and apparently so did eveyone else. We were all definitely in Mark's "Time Machine" as he blasted tune after tune at us in great rock form. After talking to other of us Funk Fo'gies gathered together at the stage in our Farner T-shirts.... I learned that Craig Frost was there to see the show! I took a picture of Craig during WAAB and I was told that Mark and Craig hugged like brother's and had a good ol' time telling stories after the show. FarnerFest's are like good family reunions with great music!!
Anyway, the guys really gave 100% even in 90% humidity. They were cookin' in more ways than one....then after the loud hootin', stompin' and pounding reached a crescendo.....Mark came back on the stage for the encore on this hot drippy night to say somethin' like; "You wouldn't believe what my wife was doing to me over there....must be True Love" Everybody knows that Lesia Rock's...But then he told us that Lesia (the name) didn't sound "so good" when he sang it....So he changed the song title to "Nadean"....then they played it!!!! What a charactor with charactor!
In fact, all the people that make N'rG "Good to Go" are a joy to meet...whether at the shootin' range practising Marks~man~ship and meeting fans or caring very much about the people from behind the scenes. I Thank you all for your Spirit of Kindness! The Glass City is STILL chiming from Mark Farner's N'rG!!! Come back anytime!!! I'll be there!
